    What is RockSteady?
    DJI Action 2 uses RockSteady technology to stabilize footage. This EIS technology is realized by increasing the shutter speed, analyzing the images captured by the CMOS sensor, and compensating by cutting off the edges of these images. In this way, multiple frames are overlaid and finally combined into a single frame that is sharp, clear, and accurately exposed.
    What is HorizonSteady?
    HorizonSteady uses DJI's latest stabilization algorithm to lock onto a leveled horizon in every frame, regardless of how the camera is mounted or worn. It allows you to capture smooth and stable footage whether you are cycling on bumpy roads or go-karting around a track.
    Can DJI Action 2 shoot Slow Motion videos?
    Yes. DJI Action 2 supports up to 1080p/240fps 8x slow motion videos.
    What is D-Cinelike?
    It is designed to capture a wide dynamic range from the sensor, and colors are distributed evenly so the dark part of a picture is greatly improved. It is not a real LUT, but a lower-contrast video with a flat color profile, great for post-processing options.
    How do I export photos and videos from DJI Action 2?
    Method 1: Connect to the DJI Mimo app and download the content to your phone.
    Method 2: Insert the microSD from DJI Action 2 into a computer.
    Method 3: Connect DJI Action 2 to a computer with a USB-C cable.
    Where is footage saved in DJI Action 2?
    1. The footage shot with DJI Action 2 is saved to the internal storage.
    2. The footage shot with DJI Action 2 when connected to the Front Touchscreen Module or Power Module is saved to the microSD card.
    3. The footage stored in the internal storage can be exported to the microSD card when Action 2 is connected to the Front Touchscreen Module or Power Module.
    Does the camera of DJI Action 2 have a prime lens?
    Yes. With a prime lens, subjects are clear when they are more than 300 mm away from the lens.

    How do I control DJI Action 2 with my phone?
    The DJI Mimo app allows you to control DJI Action 2, sync photos and videos, edit, and share.
    How do I activate DJI Action 2?
    1. Scan the QR code displayed on the camera unit screen, or download the DJI Mimo app from the app store.
    2. Press the power button to turn on the device.
    3. Open the DJI Mimo app, tap the camera icon at the upper left corner of the home page, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi according to the prompts, select the correct Wi-Fi, and tap to connect to DJI Action 2.
    4. After the DJI Mimo app is connected to DJI Action 2, you will be prompted to activate the device.
    5. Complete the activation process by following the prompts in the app.
    How do I update DJI Action 2's firmware?
    The DJI Mimo app will send push messages automatically. Follow the prompts to complete the update process.
    How do I switch between the front and back screen?
    Tap to turn on and unlock the front or back touchscreens. You can use the menu to show the front and back screens simultaneously or just one screen.
    Can the front touchscreen be controlled?
    Yes.
    How do I switch to Portrait mode?
    In photo mode, rotate DJI Action 2 by 90° and the system will automatically change to Portrait mode.
    Does DJI Action 2 support voice control?
    Yes. DJI Action 2 supports voice commands in English and Mandarin Chinese.
    Why does DJI Action 2 have a lock screen function?
    The lock screen function prevents you from touching the screen accidently, especially when you use it underwater.
    How do I share videos shot with DJI Action 2?
    You can either save the videos on your phone first or use the DJI Mimo app to upload them and share the links generated.
    How do I set the shutter speed, ISO, and other camera parameters manually?
    Method 1: Enter camera view, and swipe the touchscreen to the left to access camera parameter settings, and choose Manual (M) mode.
    Method 2: Connect with the DJI Mimo app and tap Settings on the left of the camera view.
    Does DJI Action 2 have sleep mode?
    Yes. Press and hold the power button on DJI Action 2 to enter sleep mode. The camera will automatically power off after 60 minutes in sleep mode.
    Can I use an external microphone with DJI Action 2?
    Yes. You can connect DJI Action 2 with a third-party microphone through the USB-C port via the 3.5mm adapter.
    Can I set the playback volume?
    You can set the playback volume when DJI Action 2 is attached with a Front Touchscreen Module.

    How long does it take to fully charge a DJI Action 2 battery?
    The status LED on the front touchscreen module or the power module turns on during charging when powered off. The battery is fully charged when the status LED displays solid green for six seconds and turns off. It takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge both the camera unit and the front touchscreen module or the power module when they are connected. (* Measured using a 5V/2A USB adapter in a laboratory environment. Use as a reference only.)
    Does DJI Action 2 support fast charging?
    No. DJI Action 2 does not support PD and QC fast charging protocols. Please use a 5V/2A charger to charge the device.

    What accessories does DJI Action 2 have?
    DJI Action 2 is compatible with the following accessories: Front Touchscreen Module, Magnetic Lanyard, Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, Magnetic Adapter Mount, Power Module, Magnetic Headband, Remote Control Extension Rod, Macro Lens, DJI Mic, Waterproof Case, and DJI Floating Handle. The Front Touchscreen Module, Magnetic Lanyard, Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, and Magnetic Adapter Mount are included in the box. All other accessories must be purchased separately.
    How do I mount different accessories on DJI Action 2?
    1. Some accessories such as the Front Touchscreen Module or Power Module can be attached directly to DJI Action 2 via the magnetic lock.
    2. Remove the bottom cover of the Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, and attach accessories via the 1/4" screw hole.
    3. With the Magnetic Adapter Mount and a threaded rod (not provided), you can mount third-party action camera accessories to DJI Action 2.
    Can DJI Action 2 be mounted on a tripod?
    Yes. The camera can be mounted to a tripod or other accessories via the 1/4" screw hole at the bottom of the Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount.
    When DJI Action 2 is used with a Front Touchscreen Module or a Power Module, is it waterproof?
    DJI Action 2 is waterproof, unless used with the Front Touchscreen Module or Power Module.
    How strong is the magnetic connection between DJI Action 2 and its accessories?
    The Front Touchscreen Module, Power Module, Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, and Magnetic Adapter Mount all have a built-in magnetic lock that ensures a firm connection between units in active motion scenarios.
    The Magnetic Lanyard and Magnetic Headband use an attachment plate that is more suitable for daily lifestyle scenarios. The Macro Lens magnetically connects directly to the camera. Activities involving strenuous movements should be avoided when using these accessories.
    Is the adhesive base of DJI Action 2's Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount reusable?
    Yes. The adhesive base of the Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount will regain its adhesiveness when washed with water.

    Is the lens of DJI Action 2 interchangeable?
    No, but you can magnetically attach the Macro Lens or other third-party lenses or filters to the camera.

    How do I clean the camera lens?
    1. Dirt on the lens can be cleaned with a lens cleaning cloth. For dust in the cracks at the edge of the lens, use a dust blower or cotton swab for cleaning.
    2. To clean water stains, oil smudges, or fingerprints on the lens, apply a few drops of lens cleaning solution on lens tissues and use a circular motion.
    What should I do if dust or sand gets inside DJI Action 2?
    DJI Action 2 is dust-proof. However, if dust does get inside the device and cannot be cleaned, please contact DJI After-Sales for repair.
